These local governments participate in the development of transportation improvement programs and other issues associated with transportation. They also provide the required local match for funding the transportation planning process and associated transportation activities. Communication between representatives of these local jurisdictions with the Ohio Department of Transportation and Federal Highway Association is facilitated by the LACRPC through its policy-making organization. The local jurisdictions receive Federal-Aid Surface Transportation Program (STP) funds through the Commission's MPO.
