FTA 5310 Program

Funding

Marimor Industries Replacement of two paratransit vehicles.  The aging vehicles to be replaced are beyond useful life in terms of age and mileage.  The vehicles are 10 years old and register 205,000 and 225,000 miles of service, respectively.  The project will ensure safety and travel time reliability of the passengers.  Project funds require an 80/20 non-federal match.   108993

1)  Marimor Industries project funding for capitalized maintenance for 5310 Program vehicle maintenance costs.  Capitalized maintenance generally refers to all the activities, supplies, materials, labor, service, and associated costs required to preserve or extend the functionality and serviceability of the vehicle. 

2)  Allen County Council on Aging funding to replace a paratransit vehicle.  The Agency lost a 2013 Light Transit Vehicle - Narrow Body (LTN) vehicle in a crash.  The replacement vehicle, a new 13-passenger LTN, will allow the Agency to resume full services to the elderly and disabled in Allen County. 

3)  Area Agency on Aging FTA 5310 funding to support mobility management activities associated with regional transportation coordination.  Mobility management is a general term most often associated with managing and delivering coordinated transportation services to customers, including older adults, people with disabilities, and individuals with lower incomes.  Mobility management focuses on meeting individual customer needs through a wide range of transportation options and service providers.  It also focuses on coordinating these services and providers to achieve a more efficient transportation service delivery system. 

4)  Area Agency on Aging FTA 5310 funding to purchase transportation services for eligible clients.  The Agency provides transportation to the elderly and disabled who are often frail and/or poor health.
