| What is this
Indicator? This is a measure of how well the
fixed route system is utilized by passengers, i.e. total number of
passengers divided by the total number of revenue hours. This
indicator reflects fixed route riders only. |
| Why this is
important? Statistics such as passengers
per hour measure service effectiveness. This indicator
measures the number of passenger trips per hour by vehicle type and
type of service. The measure provides a general indication of
the extent to which the fleet is being adequately utilized in terms
of frequency of trips by vehicle type. |
