Indicator? This indicator shows
the percentage of households owning one or more
vehicles. |
| Why this is
important? Vehicle ownership is directly related to
personal driving which contributes to air pollution and greenhouse
gas emissions. Air pollutants are known factors in respiratory
disease and chronic illnesses such as asthma, as well as
cardiovascular disease and mortality. Studies have suggested that
"car shedding" is financially beneficial and results in a personal
overall positive sense of well being. |

- total number of households per year and households reporting
