| What is this
Indicator? This indicator shows the average daily
travel time to work in minutes for workers 16 years of age and
older. The Ohio mean travel time to
work is 22.6 minutes. |
| Why this is
important? Lengthy commutes cut into workers' free
time and can contribute to health problems such as headache,
anxiety, and increased blood pressure. More time spent commuting
also translates to increased consumption of fossil fuels used for
transportation, which is costly for workers as well as for the
environment. |
